DOG FINDS MARIJUANA SOCK
On Jan. 1 at 5 p.m., a deputy went to the 30400 block of Upper Bear Creek Road in Evergreen and talked to a man who said at 5 p.m. he was running with his dog in Alderfer Three Sisters Open Space. His dog picked up a white sock near the border of the park. When the man got home and checked the sock it had what he thought was marijuana inside the soaking wet sock. A pipe and a clear plastic bag containing suspected marijuana was collected by the deputy.
MAN SUSPECTS PICKPOCKET AT EVERGREEN LAKE
On Jan. 2 at 5:28 a.m., a deputy contacted a man by phone regarding a theft the man said happened during the Polar Plunge event at Evergreen Lake, 29614 Upper Bear Creek Road, Evergreen. The man said he was there from noon to 1:30 p.m. Jan 1 to watch the activities. He said his wallet was in his left back pocket and his checkbook was in his right back pocket. After he left the lake, he discovered the checkbook was missing. The man said he had looked everywhere, and called the bank. He thought someone pick pocketed the checkbook, which he took because he was going to make a donation to the nonprofit sponsoring the Polar Plunge. The deputy went to the lake and looked around the parking lot but found nothing. The man said it was in a blue plastic covere and contained 18 or 19 checks.
MISCHIEF IN CONIFER
A deputy was dispatched to the 11700 block of Braun Way in Conifer Jan 1 at 5:53 a.m. in reference to someone breaking a sliding glass door by throwing a rock. The deputy approached the residence and spoke to the homeowner who said someone had been calling her and hangin up without talking between 2:30 and 3 a.m. She said she didn't know if the calls were related to the broken window. The deputy examined the exterior of the house, but saw no other damage. No suspects were located.
ITEMS STOLEN FROM CAR
On Jan 1 at 8:45 p.m., a deputy went to the 30100 block of Conifer Road in reference to a possible mail theft. A woman said she last checked her mailbox on Dec. 30, but saw the mail truck at her mailbox Dec. 31. When she went to get her mail the next morning there was no mail, which she thought was strange. The woman said she thought someone had stolen a black pouch from her car between 12:45 and 7 p.m. Jan. 1 because she last saw it when she went to dog park on Stage Coach Boulevard. She didn't notice it until 5 p.m. when she returned home. She said her driver's license and a Neiman Marcus credit card were inside the pouch. No suspects were located.

PARKED CAR WINDOW BROKEN
A resident on the 3000 block of Piney Ridge Road in Evergreen told deputies on Jan5 at 12:15 p.m that someone had broken out a window of his vehicle while it was parked along the road in front of his home. The man said he had no idea what was used to break the glass. Nothing was taken from the interior.
