Jeffco Sheriff's blotter: Work trailer stolen


CONSTRUCTION TRAILER STOLEN IN CONIFER
On Jan. 30 at 8:44 a.m., a deputy responded to a construction site at 30400 Kings Valley Drive in Conifer and talked to the owner of a framing company. The man said between 5 p.m. Jan 29 and 6:45 a.m. Jan. 30 his construction trailer was stolen from the site. A 2008 International trailer contained framing tools. It was parked under a parking lot light and had the company's logo on all four sides. Since the site was in view of video cameras at the Kum and Go on U.S. 285 the deputy asked the manager to release the videos. The trailer was listed as stolen.

ROOMMATE PAWNS ROOMMATE'S PROPERTY
On Jan. 30 at 11:23 a.m., a deputy went to the 11700 block of West Chenango Drive in Morrison and met with woman who said she had been traveling and owed her roommate rent money. When she returned home she said her roommate had taken her belongings to sell them to recover rent money. The woman said she didn't give her roommate permission to sell her property. She said the roommate told her she planned on selling more of her stuff in the future if she didn't get caught up with the rent payments. The deputy talked to the roommate by phone and she admitted selling the woman's belongings. The woman did not want to pursue charges but wanted the incident documented.

POKER GAME RESULTS IN JACKET LOSS
On Jan 30 at 2:07 p.m., a deputy went to the Brook Forest Inn, 8136 S. Brook Forest Road, in Evergreen on a theft call. A man said he went to the inn on Jan. 27 for a wake and to play poker. He left his jacket on a bar stool at 7:50 p.m. to play poker in another area. When he returned at 8 p.m. the jacket with his cell pone, and wallet inside was gone. He said he didn't plan to make a theft report, but a friend of his had received a phone call from his cell phone on Jan. 28 at 10 a.m. The call was from a woman who said she found a jacket and phone at Cactus Jack's Saloon in Evergreen. When the man visited Cactus Jack's no one there had seen the jacket. No suspect information was forthcoming.

On Feb. 1 at 12:26 a.m., a deputy observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Colorado 74 at County Road 73 with a large object hanging from the rear view mirror. The deputy stopped the driver and he roved a large necklace from the rearview mirror. The deputy noticed an aroma of marijuana and asked the man if he had anything illegal in the car. He said "I really have to leave." The deputy searched the car and found a pipe, rolling papers and jar. The driver was issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructed view.

VEHICLES GET VISIT ON SPRUCE LANE
On Feb. 1 at 11:49 a.m., a deputy went to the 27200 block of Spruce Lane in Evergreen, where a woman said several trucks on the property had been rummaged through during the night. Although she said the vehicles were not locked, she noticed a door ajar on one of them. Her husband checked the trucks and said nothing was missing, but their neighbors said their cars had been opened.
