Jeffco Sheriff's blotter: Ring lost at rec center


WEDDING RING LOST AT REC CENTER
On June 19 at 3:13 p.m., a deputy went to the Evergren Rec Center, 5300 S. Olive Road, on a theft report. A woman said her husband's wedding ring was lost then stolen at the rec center in February. After someone turned it into the front desk, a secretary at the rec center put it in an envelope, which subsequently disappeared. The wife said the ring was a 14K gold band worth $200. She said they didn't think of reporting it as stolen and had no suspect information.

MAILBOX MISCHIEF ON SHILOH ROAD
On June 20 at 7:47 a.m., a deputy went to the 13900 block of Shiloh Ridge Road in Conifer on a mailbox mischief call. A resident said his mailbox as well as several others on the corner of his street had been damaged sometime between 10 p.m. June 19 and 7:15 a.m. June 20. He learned about it from his paper carrier, because the box was knocked off the post. The deputy counted nine mailboxes as unusable that had been smashed by a blunt object. The man said he didn't hear anything and estimated the cost to replace his mailbox at $25. The deputy discovered more damaged mailboxes on Richmond Hill Road.

OBJECT THROWN AT MOVING CAR
On June 22 at 3:27 p.m., a deputy went to the 3800 block of Alpine Drive in Evergreen where a suspect had thrown a rock at a victim's vehicle. The deputy spoke to a woman who said while she was driving southeast on Buchanan Drive she heard an object strike the top of her Ford Mustang. She heard two boys laughing but never saw them. A check of the car revealed no damage by the object. No suspects were located.

NEIGHBOR REPORTS HARRASSMENT
A deputy contacted a woman on the 31000 block of Big Bear Drive in Evergreen on June 23 who said she had been harassed by her neighbors. She said she thought it was the result of a previous tenant of her building who had dogs. She said she hadn't actually seen anyone do anything and explained issues with the homeowners association.
