Jeffco Sheriff's blotter: Car damaged in Evergreen

CAR DAMAGED ON HOTEL WAY
On June 26 at 2:47 p.m., a deputy went to the 29000 block of Hotel Way in Evergreen and talked to a man who said at 4 p.m. on June 25 he arrived at his business and parked his car in the parking lot. He left at 2:30 on June 26 and notcied someone had scratched the driver's side front window. While he was driving home, he hit a small bump, heard a "pop" and when he opend the cover for the sunroof, all the tinted glass fell down into the vehicle and on to him. When he got home he checked the car and found a broken fog light on the passenger side. He was not sure how much it would cost to repair the damage but estimated it would be more than $1,000.

THEFT ON UPPER BEAR
On June 26 at 9:45 p.m., a deputy went to the 30000 block of Upper Bear Creek Road in Evergreen. The resident said someone broke into the house, which he noticed in his office as things were out of order. He said his wife was out of town but her jewelry box had fresh fingerprint markings on it. The back door frame was cracked and the door lock mechanism was on the floor.

RECYCLING INCIDENT GETS HEATED
On June 27 at 9:29 a.m., a deputy went to the recycling center behind King Soopers in Evergreen to assist an Evergreen paramedic with a medical issue. A woman had a panic attack and had fainted. She was screaming and yelling. Another woman said she had stopped to drop off her recycling when the first woman grabbed her newspapers and begin to walk away. She grabbed the bag back and told her she couldn't have them. The first woman said, "You should just go back to your own country, you don't belong here." This frightened the woman and she alerted the recycling center manager. The first woman said she was on her way to Golden to help a friend move and was going to use the old papers for packing.. She became so upset she had a panic attack inside the store.

NO TRESPASSING
On June 26 at 10:04 a.m., a deputy went to the 23000 block of North Turkey Creek Road on a trespass call. A man said a woman wearing a white shirt and shorts climbed over the fence and started walking her three dogs. The man said he was the caretaker for the property. He said he yelled at the woman and told her she couldn't walk on the property and she said she had been doing it for more than 30 years turned around and continued walking. He had recordd the woman trespassing on other occasions. He said he wanted the sheriff's office to tell her to stop trespassing. When the woman was contacted she said she had been walking her dogs there for the last 35 years. She was informed if she was caught trespassing agin, charges would be pursued.
