PEDESTRIAN ON HIGHWAY RECEIVES SUMMONS
On Aug. 8 at 11:48 a.m., two men were reported fighting at the General Store in Kittredge, 26301 Hill Top Drive. The parties were seen leaving the gas station westbound on Colorado 74 toward Evergreen. A deputy witnessed a man walking his bicycle away from the gas station who was not wearing a shirt. He had slurred speech and smelled of alcohol. He denied a physical altercation and said only words were exchanged. The deputy issued him a pedestrian on a highway while under the influence of alcohol summons. He was allowed to call a friend.
DRIVER GIVEN RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT SUMMONS
A driver of a Porsche SUV was given a summons for reckless endangerment after allegedly failing to yield to Jefferson county Road and Bridge employees who were paving a section of roadway near the intersection of Keystone Drive and Sugarbrrsh Drive. The flagman said the driver drove around him and several other vehicles after repeated commands for him to stop. A member of the paving crew said the driver's rearview mirror struck him. The deputies had a license plate description and went to the registered owner's home nearby, who was leaving the residence, but admitted he was the one "in the yelling match" with the road crew. He was apologetic and said he had no intention of running anyone down. He was issued a summons for reckless endangerment.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT IN PUBLIC PLACE
On Aug.7 at 10 p.m., deputies went to the 30500 block of blue Creek Trail in Conifer in reference to an earlier call about an incident at the Brook Forest Inn, 8136 S. Brook Forest Road. The reporting party said a political discussion between two men on the patio resulted in one of the men striking the other. After deputies received several witness accounts from employees and patrons, they issued a man a summons for disorderly conduct, fighting in a public place.
INDECENT EXPOSURE SUMMONS ISSUED
On Aug. 8 at 7:37 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 26400 block of South End Road in Conifer on a neighbor dispute. The reporting party said his children were outside playing near the drainage ditch when he heard the female neighbor yell at the kids while lifting her shirt. The woman was contacted by deputies. She denied using an expletive and said she became very involved when she was working out. Deputes asked her if she exposed herself to the children and she said she was very modest, but sometimes her top rides up. After her statements changed several times, the deputy issued a summons to her for indecent exposure.
