Baby Whale of a Used Book Sale set to make splash!
Contributed by: Erin Todd on 5/20/2008

The Friends of the Jefferson County Public Library is hosting its annual Baby Whale of a Used Book Sale June 6 - 8, 2008, at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 15200 W. Sixth Ave., Golden.

More than 80,000 gently used books, DVDs, CDs, audio books and videos will be available to fill your shelves for 50 cents to $2.50. The newly expanded Curiosity Corner on the lower level of the exhibit will house old favorites and fresh finds. The first 150 people each day who make a purchase at the Curiosity Corner will get a free video and vintage paperback.

Sunday is "Bag Day," where $5 buys as many items as you can fit in a bag. We'll provide the bag. Additionally, Curiosity Corner books will be half-priced on Sunday.

The Friends of the Library is a countywide organization of volunteers and supporters dedicated to enhancing Library programs and resources. Proceeds from the sale benefit children and teen literacy programs at the Library.

Hours are Friday, June 6, and Saturday, June 7, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, June 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m., and admission is free. For more information about the Baby Whale of a Used Book Sale visit http://jefferson.lib.co.us/pdf/nl_current.pdf.
