Hunters given summonses
On Oct. 22 at 4:40 p.m., a Jefferson County Sheriff's deputy went to the 23200 block of Inca Road in Evergreen on a report of illegal hunting. A homeowner said two men in hunting vests parked an ATV on her neighbor's property. The deputy found an open rifle case sitting on the ATV and an empty case. One man had an Interarms Mark X 30-06 rifle but no license. He said he was carrying the rifle for protection from mountain lions and bears. The man's uncle had a license. He was given a summons for hunting on private property without permission. His nephew was given a summons for hunting without a license.

Wounded raccoon leaves trail. Deputies responded to a residence on the 100 block of Mesa Drive in Clear Creek County on a shots fired call. Upon arrival, they discovered a pool of blood outside the front door. After surrounding the house, and trying to determine if anyone was inside, one of the deputies said he spotted a raccoon with a possible gunshot wound.

Ring reported stolen at assisted living home. Jefferson County deputies responded to a call at Grandma's Mountain Home, 6450 County Road 73 in Evergreen. An employee said one of the residents reported her gold wedding ring missing. A search was conducted but the ring was still missing. Deputies were trying to contact one of the employees.

Ex-girlfriend jailed. On Oct. 26 at 7:49 p.m. a deputy went to the 26000 block of Noah Avenue in Conifer on a protection order violation. The man said he had a protection order against his former girlfriend but she called him more than 20 times in a short period of time. The deputy contacted the Commerce City Police Department and was told the girlfriend had been arrested for DUI. A Jefferson County Deputy took custody of he woman and transported her to jail.

Disoriented male arrested on Ken Caryl Avenue. A Jefferson County deputy arrested a man on a violation of a protection order and false reporting to authorities after he was found walking east on West Ken Caryl Avenue near South Zephyr Court on Oct. 25 at 3:25 a.m. The man appeared inebriated and didn't know where he was coming from or where he was going.

On Oct. 22 at 11 p.m. a Jefferson County Sheriff;s deputy went to the 8300 block of South Upham Way. A woman reported that a neighbor cursed at her after her dog barked only once. She said it was an ongoing issue. The woman had no proof, but said she thought the man had vandalized her car. The deputy told her the incident would be documented as a disturbance.
