Recently I have been hearing and reading about gun shops all over the country not being able to keep ammunition or firearms in stock. It appears that they sell it as soon as they receive it.
Years ago, Thomas Jefferson, the 3rd President of the United States,said,
"From time to time, the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." Today, intelligent and rational people among us are very concerned about those in our midst who have always had their hands out for our hard-earned tax dollars (or, in the case of HOAs, their hands out for unreasonable dues and assessments forced upon homeowners by corrupt state legislators which are then implemented by power-and-money-seeking HOA boards of directors).
But now that Barack Obama has been elected as our next President, are We the Peopleactually getting seriousabout DOING something about those undeserving (legal and illegal) people with their hands out who would take a lot of what we Americans earn through the sweat of our brows and give it to the undeserving?
My hope and prayer has always been that we the intelligent and rational American people would be able to deal with the "undeserving" and power and money seekers among us in a facts and law way. However, has the knowledge that someone with destructive personality traits and a questionable background -- such as Barack Obama is said to have -- prompted some (or many) among us to think differently about dealing with what they may feel would be a very real social and financial American disaster during Barack Obama's first term in office?
Thomas Jefferson also said, in November of the year 1808 in his message to Congress,
"For a people who are free, and who mean to remain so, a well-organized and armed militia is their best security." He also said, "In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock."
Let us peacefully stand together "like a rock" for what we believe in during Barack Obama's term in office. But let us all also hold within our hearts and minds an abiding resolve to never, ever, surrender our freedoms and liberties without a fight.
