Evergreen man escapes crash uninjured


At approximately 9:50 PM on April 13 a brown 1980 Ford pickup truck
traveling northbound on Hwy 285 suddenly lost control and traveled into and
through the center median where it continued going north in the southbound
lanes of Hwy 285.

The Ford truck driven by Jason Osborne age 21 of Littleton crashed head-on
into a 2001 white Ford mini van driven by Gabriel Hernandez age 33 of
Denver. Osborne's truck then crashed into a 2000 green Ford Escape driven
by Stephen Serazio age 46 of Littleton.

The fourth vehicle a 1998 green
Chevy Blazer driven by Robert Pasco age 65 of Evergreen was unable to avoid hitting the three crashed vehicles. His Blazer crashed into Osborne's
truck.

The fifth vehicle a 2006 red Toyota Tercel driven by Brian Birch age
49 of Golden also was unable to avoid the crashed vehicles and collided
with the green Ford Escape.

Each vehicle was occupied by drivers only. Osborne suffered serious
injuries, Hernandez suffered minor injuries, and Serazio suffered serious
injuries, all were transported to Swedish Medical Center.

Pasco and Birchwere not injured.

Alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor in this crash. Toxicology
test results are pending.

Osborne faces multiple charges including Vehicular Assault.

The 5 car pileup caused the closure of southbound Hwy 285 for approximately
three and one half hours.
