Road improvements No. Turkey Creek

Project Scope: Safety and capacity improvements are needed from North Turkey Creek Road to just north of the existing access to the Evergreen Professional Center. Plans were designed by Muller Engineering. American Civil Constructors will construct the project.

The Evergreen/Conifer Traffic Impact Fee Fund will pay for the improvements, estimated at $2.2 million. Work began in March and continue through September, 2008.

The project will include:
- A roundabout at JC 73/North Turkey Creek Road - Roundabout
-The addition of four-foot paved, plus two-feet gravel shoulders in most areas
-A two-way left-turn lane from the Evergreen South Cafe to Marshmerry Lane
-A southbound left-turn lane at Marshmerry Lane
-A northbound left-turn lane into Evergreen Professional Center
-Fire station driveway improvements
-Drainage improvements

Progress Update:
The North Turkey Creek detour road has been constructed and is open to traffic.

The contractor is progressing with storm sewer pipe installation along the west side of JC 73 from North Turkey Creek Road, working north. Xcel Energy electric and gas lines, Qwest phone and fiber optic lines, and US Cable lines are in the process of being relocated. Asphalt milling on JC 73 and on North Turkey Creek Road will occur April 24th and 25th.

Project Schedule:
Construction Start: March 2008
End: September 2008
Landscape Maintenance Start:October 2008
End: December 2010
