Magic is the most amazing six month old black Lab puppy. She has been in training here in Colorado Springs since November 2008 to be a service dog for a six year old boy on the autism spectrum who lives in Vail. She will be ready to move closer to her future family in Vail and start training with her boy, Tyler, early June.
Magic is from the North Star Foundation which specializes in dogs bred and trained for special needs kids. You can learn more about the program and its founder Patty Dobbs Gross by visiting
www.northstardogs.com. If you are interested in fostering this truly amazing little girl please contact Patty at Noth Star or call 860-423-0664.
Fostering at this stage of training is about a three to six month commitment and all expenses are paid by North Star. That includes food, vet bills and even toys!
