Lexie Maladrewicz, age 13, and Craig Fowler, age 18, of the Evergreen Hurricanes Swim Team, have recently returned from competition at the Speedo Western Sectional Swim Meet in Federal Way, Washington. The Swim Meet, held March 11-15, was hosted by the Tacoma Washington Swim Team and Salmon Bay Aquatics at a world class facility previously the site of Goodwill games and several USA National Swimming Championships.

Invitation to the Speedo Meet is extended only to qualifying swimmers, ages 13 and up, from 15 western states who achieve higher swimming speeds than speeds achieved at typical state championship meets. Maladrewicz and Fowler both proved eligible to attend after securing 2008 qualifying times.
