Evergreen Nature Center will hold an Open House for potential volunteers on Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Volunteers will act as Visitor Assistants who greet people entering the nature center.
Volunteers will learn to guide people to the self-educating resources in the nature center. The requested commitment is to serve at least two three-hour shifts per month, May to October.
If you are interested in learning more about volunteering at the nature center, please join us Wednesday, Aug. 5, between 5:30 and 7 p.m.
Current volunteers will be on hand to share their experiences and refreshments will be served.
Please give us a call at 303-330-0489 for more information or to let us know you'll be stopping by. You may also visit the nature center website, evergreennaturecenter.org, for more information or to download a Visitor Assistant job description and an application.
Evergreen Nature Center is in its second season at the old warming hut on Evergreen Lake, next to the boat rentals. The building is provided by the Evergreen Park and Recreation District, and the nature center is sponsored by The Evergreen Naturalists Audubon Society.
