Mothers of the Evergreen Outlaws 12 year old AAA Division were honored with roses and hugs from their sons who won the three day Bear Creek Mother's day tournament in Littleton. The tournament began on Friday May 9, when the chilly winter weather set in and had the fans covered in blankets and winter gear. The championship game against the Littleton Phantoms was won 7-4 on Mother's Day.

The Evergreen Outlaws are currently undefeated in their league. This week's tournament win qualifies them for a position in the state Tournament. Last year the team was seeded 1 st in the state tournament going into the competition.

The team is comprised of 6 th and 7 th grade boys from Evergreen Middle School and the Rocky Mountain Academy. Team members include: Kyle Petersen, Jack Curtis, Brock Burke, Daniel Gibbins, Joseph Danni, Ben Moore, Kyle Malazdrewicz, Lucas Weidner, Spencer Mason, and Connor Kissler. Coaches are Randy Burke, Keith Malazdrewicz, Scott Curtis and Cheryl Danni, team mom.
