Contributed by: YourHub.com on 8/15/2008

Jefferson County Sheriff's Office SHOUTING MATCH ON NARROW DRIVE A deputy went to the 5800 block of High Drive in Evergreen Aug. 5 at 1:01 p.m. on a harassment call. The drivers for a delivery company contracted by Sears for an appliance delivery had mistakenly driven down a long driveway. When they got to the residence and asked the 59-year-old resident if he was expecting a delivery, the man said no and told them to "get out of here." As they began leaving, the man ran after them slapping the side of the truck then jumped on the running board. He shouted, "You better get out of here," and allegedly poked the driver in the chest. The driver said he reported the incident because the man said he was going to call police. When the deputy contacted the resident, the man said the driver shouted an obscenity at him. He denied poking the driver in the chest and the deputy left with no further incident. TREE HOUSE TRESPASSING On Aug. 6 at 5:48 p.m., a deputy went to the 27500 block of Colorado 74 in Evergreen, where a 49 year-old man said he thought there were "squatters" on his property. He said he had posted No Trespassing signs on all four sides, but found a fire pit near a tree house as well as camping accessories. The deputy checked the tree house, which the man said was used by his grandchildren, but they had not been there recently. The deputy suggested the man remove the ladder to the tree house and post another No Trespassing sign on the tree house. The deputy collected the camping items and left a card with a note advising the owners they could contact the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office in order to retrieve the belongings. MAN ASKED TO LEAVE RESTAURANTS On Aug. 8 at 7:32 p.m., a deputy went to the Bistro Blue restaurant, 28215 Colorado 74, after the manager called to report a man was disturbing patrons. The said he was wearing an orange T-shirt and went from table to table shouting and obscenity. He told the manager to, "give me the best steak in town," and that he would "own your restaurant." The deputy tracked the man to the Black Hat Cattle Company restaurant, 26295 Hilltop Dr. in Kittredge and found him in the men's restroom. The man said "I have a problem with authority," when the deputy confronted him. The 57-year-old man agreed not to cause any more disturbances and was released. MOTORIST RUDE IN STORE On Aug. 9 at 6:35 p.m., while on patrol on Bergen Parkway in Evergreen, a deputy was waved down by a motorist who had run out of gas. The 57-year-old man asked the deputy for a ride to a gas station so he could buy some gas. The deputy gave him a lift to the Loaf-N-Jug on Evergreen Parkway. The motorist went inside and came out with a gas can and went to the pump. A minute later, the 21-year-old gas station attendant approached the man, gave him his $10 bill and told him to leave. The deputy asked what happened and the attendant said the man yelled at him to do his job and called him "stupid." He said the man was not to return to the location again, as he had scared several customers who were in the store at the time. The deputy issued a summons to the motorist for disorderly conduct and told him if returned to that store he would be charged with criminal trespassing. He left on foot.
