Blog Entry 61 of 65 Different Rhymes for Different Times
Pretty much just some street-type rhymin' goin' on here. Some rhymes might have proper grammar, but most of 'em probably won't. Nothin' fancy. Kinda just however I'm feelin' at any given time. Sometimes there'll be an explanation for the rhyme, sometimes there won't be. Not a whole lot of words endin' in the letter "g". Hopefully nobody ever gets offended by anything I write. That is definitely not my intention. Just kinda writin' out my feelings in rhyme, that's all.

Somebody you love...

Look at your child
your beautiful child
When was the last time they cried
the last time they smiled
When was the last time
you watched them run, watched them climb
because the last time you did
could be the very last time
Hug 'em and kiss 'em
and tuck 'em in tight
because somebody you love
might die tonight

Look at your lover
your husband, your wife
When was the last time you told them
that they are your life
The last time you hugged
and watched a purple sunset
because the last time you did
could be the last chance you get
Hug 'em and kiss 'em
never let 'em get away
because somebody you love
might die today

Look at your dad
your sister, your brother
Look at your grandma
your grandpa, your mother
When was the last time
you thanked them for their love
and told them they're the greatest family
you could ever think of
When was the last time you said "I love you"
as you looked them in the eye
because it's just not the same
if you wait until they die
