High Country Camera Club winners

WESTMINSTER -- Attached are winning entries from the March meeting of the High Country Camera Club. The assigned subject was texture.

John Streich received first place with a sandwich of two slides -- some barns near Pullman, Wash., and an end view of hay rolls from Berthoud. The hay slide provided the rough texture in a slide titled Hay Barns.

Second place in the same assignment went to Robert Chavez of Arvada for a slide titled Fine Feathers. It is a close-up of the color patterns in peacock feathers.

The program for the evening was titled Christmas in New Mexico and was a slide show by John Yurchak of Aurora. The meeting was adjourned after enjoying refreshments provided by Elaine Gardner of Arvada.

The High Country Camera Club meets the first Monday of each month (except September) at the Westminster United Methodist Church at 76th Avenue and Lowell Boulevard. Meeting time is 7 p.m. For more information contact John Streich at (303) 429-8178 or e-mail at j1streich@aol.com.
