Ron Taylor Makes a Big Splash for Free Trip, Charity
DENVER - July 18, 2008 -
Ron Taylor
of the Westminster Fire Department won the 12th annual Water World Belly Flop Contest. To win the grand prize trip to Mexico, courtesy of Apple Vacations, he wowed the crowd with a double flip, which opened into the belly flop position and made a huge splash.
Seventeen brave firefighters from eight local fire departments flipped and flopped to make the ultimate splash for belly flopping glory yesterday at Water World. They jumped to win prizes and raise money for the Fire Fighter Cancer Foundation. Water World donated a portion of the day's proceeds to the Fire Fighter Cancer Foundation.
Steve Howard
of the Parker Fire Department took second, and
Trevor Williamson
of the Frederick-Firestone Fire Department took third.
