Man too drunk for fast food
A man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at 1:34 a.m. July 26 at the Burger King at 2998 W. 104th Ave. in Federal Heights. According to the report, the 25-year-olddriverhad difficulty ordering from the fast food restaurant pick-up window. His speech was allegedly slurred, he drove past the pick-up window and he appeared to be falling asleep at the wheel. The assistant manager of the restaurant called police. When police arrived, the man had trouble getting out of his car and removing identification from his wallet, reports said. After police took him into custody, he allegedly became very belligerent, calling the officer names and banging his head on the wall. He stayed in custody until his mother picked him up.

Meth deal leads to attack
Two unidentified men broke into an apartment at the 9100 block of Mandel Street in Federal Heights at 6:45 a.m. Nov.8andassaulted three people. A couple living in the apartment woke up to the two men breaking in. The male resident, who was nude, ran down the stairs and attacked the men as they entered the apartment. The nude man was hit in the arm and head with a crowbar and a stick. The woman, who was also nude, ran down to attack the other invader. Shortly thereafter, the woman's father, who lived nearby and heard a commotion, came over to see what happened. He was knocked over and hit in the head with a crowbar. The father was taken to St. Anthony North Hospital and had to receive three stitches. The male resident said he owed a man $1,000 from a deal three years ago, and he would handle the situation. The home invaders are described as Caucasian and driving a purple car.

Nephew leaves state with stolen car

A 57-year-old Federal Heights man reported his nephew had stolen his car at 9a.m. Nov. 26.Themansaid he gave his Cadillac Escalade to his nephew with the agreement that he would take over payments. The nephew didn't, and apparently went to Florida to avoid having the car repossessed. Value of the car is approximately $25,000.
