Woman arrested in burglary. A 49-year-old Northglenn woman was arrested Aug. 16 after she allegedly broke into her ex-boyfriend's apartment. The burglary occurred at approximately 11:05 p.m. at an apartment complex on the 11900 block of Gaylord Way. Police say the woman climbed through a window and stole clothing and jewelry.
Man caught shoplifting. A 56-year-old Denver man was arrested Aug. 14 on suspicion of shoplifting after he was caught trying to steal several items from a discount retail store. The shoplifter attempted to steal more than $280 of items from Marshalls, 10650 Melody Drive.
Woman arrested in domestic violence incident. A 42-year-old Northglenn woman was taken into custody Aug. 14 after she allegedly physically assaulted her boyfriend and lied about it to police. A report indicates the assault, which occurred at around 2 a.m. at an apartment complex at 10648 Huron St. in Northglenn, was fueled by alcohol. The woman became upset and struck the man in the face when he attempted to leave.
Bar fight leads to arrest. A 28-year-old Thornton man was arrested Aug. 16 after he allegedly assaulted his wife and several others during an altercation at a bar. The incident occurred at about 2 a.m. at Sweetwater Tavern, 9975 Wadsworth Parkway in Westminster. Police say the man was drunk when he struck his 32-year-old wife, his wife's father and his wife's sister. He attempted to run away, but was tracked down and detained by police.
Drunken man detained. A 51-year-old Arvada man was arrested Aug. 18 on suspicion of disorderly conduct Aug. 18 for causing a scene at a thrift store. By the time police arrived at 6:05 p.m. to Goodwill, 3047 74th Ave. in Westminster, the man had already passed out in front of the store and urinated in his pants. Witnesses say the man was drunk and shouting at customers.
DUI suspect arrested. A 49-year-old Westminster man was arrested Aug. 17 on suspicion of DUI after he allegedly plowed his car through a tree. Police say the man was over the legal limit when he hit the tree at about 10:30 p.m. at an apartment complex at 6969 90th Ave. in Westminster.
