Join CBS4, KCNC-TV-Denver, in partnership with America on the Move, for a community fitness walk that begins at the Civic Center Building in Commerce City at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September
13, 2008.
Commerce City Mayor Paul Natale and CBS4's Jennifer Zeppelin will lead this one to two mile fitness walk around the Civic Center at 7887

Avenue. The walk is free of charge and open to those interested in finding a fun way to stay active. Dogs on leashes are welcome. Walkers are encouraged to dress for the weather, use sunscreen and bring their own water bottle. Each participant will receive a free
Fit 4 Colorado pedometer.
Each month, CBS4 and America on the Move partner with a different city to host a
Fit 4 Colorado community walk with local elected officials and CBS4 reporters. Each walk is one to two miles in length (2000-4000 steps) and promotes the idea that people can make small behavioral changes in order to improve their overall health.
Fit 4 Colorado is a statewide initiative that promotes the health and well-being of children and adults and was launched by CBS4 in January 2007. CBS4 airs regular
Fit 4 Colorado segments providing viewers with educational information and resources to help change behavior, increase activity and eat healthier. The program is designed to educate and inform the public about the benefits of increased activity and healthier eating, provide tips on how to maintain a healthy weight and be more active and provide resources such as healthy eating tips and easy to use tracking mechanisms to log activity and help reach goals.
