The 4th Annual CSI: Regis University Crime Scene Investigation Conference and Workshops is slated for Oct. 2-3 at the Arvada Center. The Arvada Center is located at 6901 Wadsworth Blvd., in Arvada, CO.
Designed specifically for criminology degree students, professionals and interested citizens, the two-day event runs from 1 to 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 and 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 3.
Regis University's College for Professional Studies (CPS) is sponsoring the event.
Lieutenant Ken Landwehr, Wichita Police Department, is the keynote speaker. He'll speak on the
BTK Serial Killer Investigation and Capture.
Other featured presenters and their topics include Jamie Brower, police psychologist,
School Shooters and Workplace Violence; Sgt. Todd James, Colorado State Patrol,
Human Trafficking; Capt. Steve Garcis, CAIC Program,
Anti-Terrorism and the Fusion Center; Tim Johnson deputy DA, 20
th Judicial District,
High Tech Stalkers; Gary Scott, Community College of Aurora,
Forensic Anthropology; and Diane Balkin, chief deputy DA, 2
nd Judicial District,
Animal Cruelty and the Connection to Violent Human Behavior.
Cost to attend the event is $100 for both days, $75 for Oct. 2 only or $75 for Oct. 3 only.
Attendees are also being offered additional incentive to attend the event - the application fee for any CPS degree program will be waived.
