My name: Sharon Richardson

My Age: 63

My family: Married to Tom for 46 years. Two girls, Christina & Teresa, grandson Dakota

What I do: Retired - last worked as a cashier. Care for grandson after school to help get his homework done. Member of Adams Planning Commission

My favorite place to hang out: Carstens Park

What I love most about living here: The People

My interests and hobbies: Love to read, crochet, crafts and work in yard

My favorite thing to cook: Cinnamon Rolls

People who inspire me and how: My mother - She had a hard life and never let it get her down. She taught us the value of hard work and loyalty, the difference between right and wrong and to never give up. That we could achieve anything we put our minds to.

How I have contributed to the community: City Council for 12 years 10 as Mayor ProTeam, served on many committees, board and commissions Adams County Planning Commission last 4 years.

What are the biggest issues facing your city right now:

A. Fiscal responsibility - Our budget is out of hand and council does not seem to have oversight once it is approved.
B. Citizens involvement - There is next to nothing being done to encourage citizens to become active in our city. Would like to see that change.
C. Economic development and redevelopment has to be on going
