Federal Heights has two open positions on the Planning & Zoning Commission, for residents of Ward II and III. The city also seeks three alternates for the Board of Adjustment and volunteers for the Victim Advocate program.
This P & Z Commission plays an important role in shaping the future of the city. This body reviews proposed development applications, rezoning requests, and conducts public hearings. In some cases, this group of volunteers makes the final decision, while in other instances they will make a recommendation to City Council to deny, approve, or approve-with-conditions the matter at hand. This Commission meets at Federal Heights City Hall only as needed on the last Monday of each month at 7 p.m.
The Board of Adjustment usually meets about once a month and makes decisionsabout variances to our land and building codes. The Victim Advocates assist victims of crime in cooperation with the police department.
If you are interested in meeting your neighbors and helping making Federal Heights a great place to live, you areencouraged to apply for these open positions.
