Let me give an example of how our current Lakewood government is not listening to Lakewood residents. Back in January, Lakewood residents voted not to trade or develop Forsberg park. If you look at the pictures that I just took while on Green Mountain today (10-17-07), you will see what looks very much like development. After the landswap was voted down, our City Administration closed our park so that this foreign developer could use that land. This is our open space which should not be developed and should be used by the people of Lakewood and not a Canadian developer. Even after a vote, our government disregards our voice. This is why I am running for office to restore our voice which has been ignored for years.
