So long - and hello
Change is part of our stock in trade in the news business, and
YourHub.com is no different.
We've initiated some changes that will see our staff in new and expanded roles in different places on the YourHub.com map. All this will help improve the product, provided mainly by you, on our Web sites and our Thursday print editions.
Next week, you'll see a new (but familiar) face.
Joey Kirchmer will be moving over from his Douglas County beat.
I'll be moving to help produce our Aurora, Douglas County and Jeffco content.
The expanded focus will enable us to produce more hyper-local news and your own great stories, photos, blogs, columns and community events. It's been a pleasure to work with all our contributors in Denver.
Let's not forget YourHub.com and our users will reach a major milestone by month's end. Someone will post the 500,000th item on YourHub.com. Simply log on, register, post a story, blog, event or photograph and you might be the one to hit that milestone number.
The undisputed event of the year in Denver, the Democratic National Convention, is but a month away. You can read news and observations on the convention or post your own items at
yourhub.com/denverconvention.
We'll have our own bloggers providing insight during the convention for you as well.
I look forward to meeting many of you in my new beat areas and working with you in providing news and events about your fine communities. My e-mail and phone number are provided, so feel free to contact me with questions on posting your own items.
