Church's library burglarized
On Aug. 19 at 12:32 p.m., police responded to the Greek Orthodox Church, 4610 E. Alameda Ave. in Glendale, on a theft report. Police spoke with a 45-year-old man who said unknown suspects stole laptops, DVDs, DVD players, books and computer games from the children's library. The estimated value of the items is $2,099. No suspect information was reported.
Man's bike stolen from Shotgun's
On Aug. 19 at 8:41 a.m., police investigated a theft that occurred at Shotgun Willies, 490 S. Colorado Blvd. Police spoke with a 38-year-old man who said the night of Aug. 14, he left his motorcycle at the business' parking lot because he had too much to drink. When he returned Aug. 16, the bike was gone. He spoke with Shotgun's management who said they didn't tow his vehicle. No suspect information was reported.
Drunk man gets rowdy on RTD
On Aug. 21 at 3:21 p.m., police responded to the intersection of East Virginia Avenue and South Cherry Street on a disturbance report. Police said a 42-year-old man was reportedly intoxicated and causing a disturbance on an RTD bus. A background check revealed the man had a restraining order preventing him from consuming alcohol. He was issued a summons for violation of a restraining order and taken to the Glendale Police Department.
Woman's car damaged
On Aug. 22 at 2:19 p.m., police responded to the 1100 block of South Birch Street on a criminal mischief report. Police spoke with a 58-year-old woman who said the left rear passenger window of her red Nissan Maxima was broken. She searched her vehicle and nothing was stolen. The estimated cost of damage is $200.
