Police blotter: Car thefts, broken windows

iPod Nano stolen
On Aug. 29 at 4:15 p.m., police responded to Sam Taylor's Bar BQ, 435 S. Cherry St., on a theft report. Police spoke with a 47-year-old man who said the front passenger side window of his car was broken and a bag was taken containing $100 in cash and a blue iPod Nano valued at $100. Cost of window damage is $300.

Rental cars damaged
On Aug. 31 at 7:33 a.m., police responded to Enterprise Rent-a-Car, 4750 Leetsdale Drive, on a criminal mischief report. Police spoke with a man who said between 5:30 p.m. Aug. 29 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 31, unknown suspects broke the driver's side windows of two cars. The total cost of damage for both is $400. Both cars are insured and no witnesses were in the area.

Debit, credit cards taken
On Sept. 1 at 7:19 p.m., police responded to Bally's Total Fitness, 720 S. Colorado Blvd., on a theft report. Police spoke with a 27-year-old woman who said she came out to her car at 7:15 p.m. and found the front driver side window broken and a purse containing items valued at $140, two debit cards and two credit cards taken. The cost of damage to the window is $350.
