Flat-screen TVs stolen
On Sept. 2 at 7:29 a.m., police responded to the 600 block of South DahliaCircle in Glendale on a burglary report. Police spoke with a 24-year-old maintenance man who said at 6:45 a.m., one of the residents informed him that someone broke into the complex's clubhouse and stole two TVs from the workout room. The TVs were both flat-screens and were valued at $2,000.
Elderly driver causes accident
On Sept. 5 at 2 p.m., police responded to the intersection of South Elm Street and Leetsdale Drive on an accident report. Police investigation revealed that a 77-year-old Denver woman driving a Nissan Maxima collided with a Volkswagen Jetta being driven by a 22-year-old Denver woman. The 77-year-old was making a left turn from Elm to Leetsdale and crossed directly in front of the 22-year-old. Police believe the woman may have an impaired driving ability because of her age.
Woman's iPhone stolen
On Sept. 7 at 4:05 p.m., police responded to Walgreens, 360 S. Colorado Blvd., in Glendale, on a theft report. Police spoke with a 48-year-old woman who said after she left the store, she saw the passenger side window to her vehicle was broken and her iPhone was stolen. The estimated value of the iPhone is $300. The store didn't have video surveillance of the incident.
