Thieves hit seven cars in church lot
On Sept. 12 at 1:37 p.m., police responded to the Greek Orthodox Church, 4610 Leetsdale Drive, Glendale, on theft reports. Police said seven vehicles parked in the church's northeast parking lot had items stolen and damage done to them totaling an estimated $20,200. There were no witnesses at the time of the thefts. The case is still under investigation.
Man puts girlfriend in headlock
On Sept. 9 at 11:48 a.m., police responded to the 1000 block of South Birch Street in Glendale on a domestic violence report. Police spoke with a 21-year-old woman who said her 23-year-old boyfriend put her in a headlock. She said he was upset over his car being towed earlier. Police located the man and arrested him on suspicion of assault and criminal mischief.
Man's car stolen from hotel
On Sept. 8 at 7:13 a.m., police responded to Staybridge Hotel, 4220 E. Virginia Ave., Glendale, on a theft report. Police spoke with a Steamboat Springs man staying at the hotel for business. At 6:30 a.m., he found his vehicle was missing from the hotel's parking lot. The estimated loss is $4,610.
