Blog Entry 68 of 109 Jonathan Lack At the Movies
Hy, I'm Jonathan Lack, age 15. I've been writing film reviews for over four years now. Movies are my life, and I love to review them! I also post DVD reviews, as well as the occasional game review. I recently reached my landmark 100th post on this site. To celebrate, I've compiled a list of my 100 favorite films! Please take a look. In honor of what is sure to be one of the year's best films, "The Dark Knight," June 13th-18th is "Batman Week," featuring my five part retrospective on the history of the Caped Crusader in cinema, along with other surprises, and my review of The Dark Knight on Friday. Enjoy!

Awesome LOST news--season calander
Contributed by: Jonathan Lack   on 4/12/2008

Normally, I only post the Lost column on Thursdays, but I had to do an emergency post-there's been some big Lost news this weekend involving scheduling, and I've learned the titles for the rest of the season, as well as some other cool information. Nothing in here is a spoiler-not to me anyway. Anything that feels like a spoiler I've pulled from the mouths of Lost's creators, not people stealing information. There's also some news from ABC insiders. This is official stuff, not spoilers.

I've got the air dates and titles to the remaining episodes. Cast and crew have assured us that these final episodes will be the most plot packed and fast paced of the entire series-not just the season.

4/24/08-- "The Shape of Things to Come"
---ABC's press release provides the following as a tease: "Locke's camp comes under attack, and Jack tries to discover the identity of a body that has washed ashore." I think I can say with confidence that the attack will be from the freighter, or at least the same people who ambushed Alex, Karl and Rousseau. There's a possibility that in the attack, Claire will be injured or killed, causing Kate to raise Aaron as her own in the flash-forwards. At this point, I'm inclined to think that Aaron will leave the island for a reason other than his mother's death-Claire dying is too predictable. As for the body Jack discovers, I have no idea. It's probably someone new.
This will be a Ben-centric episode.

5/1/08-- "Something Nice Back Home"
---This will be a Jack flash-forward; I'm guessing it will tell us why he went crazy in the future.

5/8/08-- "Cabin Fever"
---This will be a Locke-centric episode. I think it's fully possible this will reveal what happens to the survivors who are not part of the Oceanic Six.

5/15/08-- "There's No Place Like Home: Part One"
5/29/08 --"There's No Place Like Home: Part Two"

---Lost season finales are usually 2 hours long. As many of you may know, season 4 was originally supposed to have 16 hours of content, but was cut to 13 after the strike. Cuse and Lindelof used two of their remaining five hours to write a two-hour finale, as per usual. However, they felt the finale wasn't working as a 2 hour finale, and convinced ABC to let them have a three hour season finale, upping the hour count to 14. Now, don't get too excited. The three-hour finale will be split in two, and aired on two nights. The first hour of the finale will air on May 15 th in the regular timeslot. The next two hours will NOT air the following week-Grey's Anatomy already has secured a two-hour timeslot there, leaving only one hour for Lost. Cuse/Lindelof insisted the final two hours of the finale air as one episode, so it will be delayed to May 29 th. So yes, there will be one week off, but it's all for the best.

Cuse/Lindelof and many cast members are calling the three-hour finale nothing short of epic, and will answer nearly every new question raised this season-and it will end with the Oceanic Six departing the island. The climactic rescue scene is reportedly one of the most elaborate and expensive scenes in the show's history. Cuse/Lindelof have also told us that the ending will not only be the biggest cliffhanger yet, but will change the entire format of the show.

"You think the show is, 'okay, they're on the Island, and then-whoosh-you're in the past or the future.' By the end of season 4, the audience is going to go, 'How can the show continue to be that?' And they are absolutely right," says Lindelof in an interview about the finale.

The episode is bound to be awesome, even though it will be separated by a week away from Lost. A three hour finale? Oh, I don't care. An extra hour of Lost is awesome, however we recieve it.

Make sure to check in this Thursday for another Lost column. This week, I'll have the Season Four Summary. Everything you just read was going to be at the end of that post, but I was too excited and felt I had to share it with everyone, so next week's post will just be the summary.
