Blog Entry 1 of 7 SWHEATLEY'S Blogging Buffet
Welcome to SWHEATLEY'S Blogging Buffet. Much like a restaurant buffet, here you will be able to get a little of something or a lot of everything. Some days you will be treated to a few words about my thoughts on life. Other days my words will leave you feeling full. Some choices will be thoughts on life. Other days I may review a movie, a restaurant, or a play. You will read about me, my family, my town, and my travels. You may be hungry for more and visit my blog frequently. Then there will be days you are full and decide to stay away from the buffet. Some days will feature a Daily Special. You are invited to my Grand Opening of SWHEATLEY'S BLOGGING BUFFET on Monday, February 12, 2007. See you then!

Field trip day to YourHub.com
Contributed by: Sharon Wheatley   on 2/11/2007

I actually do travel outside of Golden once in awhile. On Feb. 7 I traveled to Denver, not so far away, to spend the day at YourHub.com.

Perhaps you are rolling your eyes right now thinking, "get a life." Then again, you probably haven't met the staff from YourHub.com. If you're thinking it's all work and no play at that office, you are so wrong. I attended their morning staff meeting and met a lot of the staff. If you think they are a bunch of stuffed shirt journalists who sit around and glorify their articles, you are wrong again.

Just what did I see at YourHub.com? My observations told me that it's a lot of work with some playtime. My interacting with some of the staff showed me that they are open minded individuals who welcome outsiders in. Once in, you are definitely IN. They mean what they write...it is YOURHUB.com.

The staff at YourHub.com appreciate the stories of people who live, work, and play in Colorado.

Whether you live in a big city or a small town, there are stories to tell. Why more people don't use TheHub to toot their own horn, brag about their town, or tell life stories, I'll never know.

Perhaps they are waiting for an invitation to do so. That's not going to happen. You need to take the computer by its keyboard and log on to www.yourhub.com. You need to do it now! At the very least, surf YourHub.com and see what others are writing about.

Before long, you may want to try it as well. Before long, you will get to know the Hub staff and you might just travel to the big city for your Field Trip Day.
