Description:
In 2006, Saul Raisin was climbing the professional ranks of the cycling world when a crash stopped his progress and almost took his life. Miraculously, Saul survived the traumatic brain injury (TBI). Today, Saul speaks to many types of corporate, military and athletic groups telling his inspiring story. Since his accident, team doctors will not allow Saul to race professionally but that doesn't diminish Saul's competitive spirit. Recently, Saul completed the New York marathon and a half Iron Man with stunning results. His goal is to complete the Iron Man in Hawaii this year.
Saul and his family are very motivated to raise money for various camps and rehab hospitals specializing in treating TBI survivors. They founded Raisin Hope Foundation to raise awareness of the challenges TBI survivors, provide a TBI online resource center and to encourage helmet safety. Their website is a great resource and online community for TBI survivors and their caregivers. Please visit

In Colorado, Raisin Hope and the American Cycling Association have joined forces to create a fundraising event for Craig Hospital. The event will be located at the Colorado State Patrol driving course on Table Mesa. Not only is this a competition and fundraiser, but we are adding some exhibitions to make this an atypical event. In fact, Saul will ride a Time Trial and the Air Force Academy Cycling Team will ride a Crit at the event as an exhibition. Race registrations will be taken at the gate. Spectators are welcome to watch the excitement and enjoy the view atop Table Mesa.
If you would like to participate as a vendor ($25) or monetary/in-kind sponsor, please contact Alice Brown at 303.956.6527 or email raisinhope@comcast.net. Speaking engagements may be scheduled via Alice Brown.
