During the last week in February, Bethlehem Lutheran School students in Lakewood took the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS), a nationally standardized achievement test. Bethlehem students, when compared with other schools, scored at the 97th percentile overall, which means that only two percent of all schools in the nation scored higher than our students as a whole! What an amazing level of achievement!
In order by subject matter, Bethlehem school, compared with other schools scored as follows: Science - 98.1% / Social Studies - 96.0% / Sources of Information - 94.0% / Language - 93.9% / Reading - 93.1% / Math - 89.3%.
Achievement tests are but one measure of a school's quality. The character of the students, the quality and faithfulness of the staff, and the educational environment all attest to the school's overall success. Most importantly, Bethlehem Lutheran School provides "the one thing needful" - the blessing of fostering a close relationship with Jesus throughout the school day. And we believe that's something that goes with them to eternity!
Bethlehem Lutheran School is currently enrolling preschool - 8th grade students for the 2009-2010 school year. Call 303-233-0401 or visit
