I hope Faye counts money better than she counted votes. In the 2004 election, Griffin, as county clerk, published "official" election results that exceeded the number of people voting by 33,963. She eventually corrected the tally, though she has stone walled explaining the initial lunk-headed results. Part of the problem is the $6,000,000 in electronic voting machines Griffin purchased for us. These are notoriously inaccurate and hackable machines. Indeed, the vendor has been successfully sued in several states for fraud and nonperformance. The voting watch guard group, Black Box Voting, calls Griffin's machines the worst voting machines in America. Nevertheless, they will continue to be used in Jefferson County elections since the contract Griffin negotiated with the vendor leaves us holding the bag. I have two suggestions for voters: 1. Use only paper ballots when voting 2. Vote for Sue Windels over Faye Griffin. Faye seems to be lost in the woods with no paper.

VOTE AGAINST FAYE GRIFFIN ON A PAPER BALLOT. The ES & S ivotronic touchscreen DRE balloting machines Faye purchased as County Clerk, in 2002 are disturbingly easy to hack. Black Box Voting calls the ES & S one of the worst voting machines in America. β€œAn unauthorized recalibration may be implemented by any supervisor programmed PEB; no password is required and the ability is specific to county or election specific data. Operators are capable of entering the calibration screen using a foreign Supervisor PEB, such as one purchased on the open market, from another jurisdiction, or a home made PEB emulator. The screen can be calibrated so that touching a desired point would be recorded by the machine as a touch at a different location. This could cause voter input for one candidate and selection recorded for a different candidate.” http://www.elections.colorado.gov/WWW/default/Voting%20Systems/certifications/2008/ESS%20Major%20Deficiencies%20Report.pdf
