Animal Sacrifices
The Vedic Viewpoint and Other Spiritual Perspectives
Originally when the word of God was written, it was sanctioned that great sages and Brahmans or saintly persons could perform animal sacrifices. The reason for these sacrifices was to prove the purity and mystic ability of the performer of the sacrifice. The sage would offer the animal into the fire while chanting specific mantras and the animal would come out alive with a renewed body. This would confirm that the saint was pure enough to do the actual ritual to be performed. This was done in a previous age over 5,000 years ago, and it had nothing to do with killing or eating of animal flesh. As time went on, no one was able to do this sacrifice properly and the animals where being killed by the fire, so the animal sacrifices where then forbidden. Only the greedy, materialistic persons continued these abominable sacrifices and would then eat the flesh of the dead animal.
Jesus Christ came to put a stop to these animal sacrifices, though it may not be apparent due to the Rule of King Constantine who stricken from the Bible anything to do with vegetarianism, karma and Reincarnation. Though Constantine forgot a few verses like: "He that killeth an ox is as if he killeth a man." (Isaiah 66:3) And "To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? Saith the Lord: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bulls or cows or lambs or goats. When ye spread forth your hands, I will hide Mine eyes from you: When ye make many prayers, I will not hear, for your hands are full of blood." (Isaiah 1:11, 15) And "But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it." (Genesis 1:29)
If one is interested in the original teachings of Lord Jesus Christ before king Constantine misconstrued so many things, read the Gospel of the Nazirenes, which is complete with Historical documentation of its authenticity. Don't just take my word for it; see for yourself and the truth will be revealed.
St. Francis followed Christ's teachings strictly and was a strict vegetarian.
Those who claim to be a follower of Lord Buddha and eat meat, only follow their sense gratification. The main reason for Lord Buddha's appearance was to stop animal sacrifices and to teach ahimsa (non violence). He never ate meat and those who claim he did are just being fooled by false teachings. And that also goes for Jesus or St Francis as well.
All of this violence of animal sacrifices or eating meat with no sacrifice, but who say their ungodly prayers over their dead carcass are just following pseudo religion, which leads one to suffering and despair. One can't expect to support animal slaughter and not get any reaction for it. The laws of nature and karma are stringent and what goes around comes around.
Jesus never said he died for our sins, men conjured that idea up. How can you make a human sacrifice to cover for your sinful activities? To use a pure son of God as an excuse to keep sinning is just another gross misunderstanding of the meaning of savior. Why do you think Jesus told us the laws of God, and said "Your sins are forgiven, go and sin no more?" The forgiveness Jesus spoke of is for past sin and once one is aware of the truth they are to follow it, or they are even more responsible for their sinful activity.
Many so called Rabbi's are using the idea of kosher animal flesh as big business- and that's a fact. They haven't accepted the authority of God or His pure representatives and they don't understand that those sacrifices were done at a specific time, place and circumstance and are now forbidden.
Krishna says in the Bhagavad-Gita (Song of God)-"As long as there is animal slaughter, there will be war and famine."- So make your sacrifice and stop supporting animal slaughter and war and famine and karma and unnecessary violence. It's really a matter of consciousness. How conscious are you?
