I was excited when I opened the envelope from
Brendan Leonard and saw two Rockies tickets enclosed with a note that read, "Hi, Sharon - Here are a couple of tickets to YourHub.com's Night At The Rockies - Hope to see you there!
It wasn't the tickets that excited me. It was the thrill of meeting Brendan Leonard in person. Now that he is a big shot for YourHub.com I don't e-mail converse with him as much, however, he was my contact in the beginning.....when I was a newbie at posting onYourHub.com.
I can't tell you how many times he followed up with my requests and inquiries about this new venture I was embarking.....storytelling, informing, bragging...the list goes on.
Although I won't be attending the Rockies game or meeting Brendan because of a very important HOA meeting I must attend, I decided to give the tickets to a very special person in town.....my barista! Leah, who greets each and every customer at the 13th Street Bake Shop in Golden with a smile so early in the morning, deserves this perk!
So, Brendan, be sure and introduce yourself to Leah! I'm sure she will have a great time and I will be happy knowing that she is taking a break to enjoy the outing.
