Cub Scouts from Pack 111 sponsored by Maple Grove Grange along with other scouts from the Lakewood and Golden area blasted off at day camp in Prospect Park the week of June 12. They enjoyed a week filled with activities centered around a space theme that ranged from space games to making aliens with beads. Cub Scouts spent the week working on rank advancement and earning other awards such as sport belt loops and the outdoor activity award. The Denver Area Council hosts the camp every year with dozens of volunteers from parents to Boy scouts (led by
Jana Tripp) helping out with everything from setting up and running activities to keeping everyone supplied with water. Cub Scouts look forward to this camp every year as it is always a fun-filled week. We can't wait till next year!
