Beautiful and Confident children ages 7 to 17 with DOWN SYNDROME, sought for SAKS FIFTH AVENUE 2009 Be Beautiful Be Yourself Jet Set Fashion Show.


Must be accompanied by an adult and available for the night of the Fashion Show on Saturday, October 10, 2009.

BE BEAUTIFUL BE YOURSELF JET SET FASHION SHOW-

AUDITION TAKES PLACE JULY 17

Local children with Down syndrome, ages 7 to 17, are needed to audition for the 2009 Be Beautiful Be Yourself Jet Set Fashion Show. The audition will take place on Friday, July 17, 2009 from 5 - 8:15 p.m. at Rotors of the Rockies in Broomfield, Colorado at Rocky Mountain Airport.

The Be Beautiful Be Yourself! - Jet Set Fashion Show which will be held Saturday, October 10, 2009 in the XJET hangar at Centennial Airport. 1200 guests are expected at the event and the event is slated to raise $1 million for Down syndrome research, education and clinical care.

Guest models who happen to have Down syndrome will be selected at the audition to walk the runway during a high-end fashion show orchestrated by Saks Fifth Avenue along side top models, local sports celebrities and Denver Nuggets dancers.

An audition form must be completed by Thursday, July 9, 2009 and can be obtained by calling 303-468-6061.

Through the largest private contribution dedicated to people with Down syndrome, the Anna and John J. Sie Foundation and Denver's Sie family took a groundbreaking step to significantly enhance the lives of people with Down syndrome globally last year by announcing the first institute that will comprehensively address basic research, clinical research and clinical care for people with Down syndrome all under one umbrella. The Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome is collaboration between the University of Colorado Boulder, the University of Colorado Denver and The Children's Hospital and the 2009 Be Beautiful Be Yourself Jet Set Fashion Show will benefit the new Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome.
