New photography from China at Foothills Art Center
Contributed by: Michael Chavez on 3/7/2008

Foothills Art Center proudly presents Body Art: New Photography from China, organized and curated by Julie Segraves, Executive Director - Asian Art Coordinating Council in conjunction with Michael Chavez, Curator - Foothills Art Center.

This compelling exhibition features the work of 6 Chinese artists, three of whom bring international acclaim and three who will be exhibinting in America for the first time. Each artist explores realities of China's complex contemporary society. Some of the images are humorous, others are disconcerting, but all provide fascinating insights into life in China today.
