Golden High's Wareham receives scholarship

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Golden Lodge #2740 has selected Emily Wareham of Golden to receive the 2008 Most Valuable Student Scholarship Award for $1,000.

Ms. Wareham is a senior student attending Golden High School and has accumulated a record of excellence in academic, athletic, and leadership accomplishments.

She is currently ranked number three in her class, has lettered in varsity basketball and golf, and is a member of the National Honor Society.

Ms. Wareham has also demonstrated outstanding citizenship by her participation in community and civic activities. She plans to attend the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs as a pre-med student. The Golden Elks congratulate Emily on her record of achievement and wish her success in her collegiate career.
