Saving Lives A Cappella Style

Local Barbershop Harmony Society chapter hosts "Singing for Life" blood drive

GOLDEN (May 1, 2008) - Men of all ages, from all walks of life, who love to sing, will harmonize to save lives this spring through a nationwide blood drive campaign, Singing for Life. On May 10, more than 150 Barbershop Harmony Society chapters, including the Denver MountainAires, will host blood drives and entertain blood donors in an effort to raise awareness of the need for blood in advance of a time when blood donations tend to decline.

The Denver MountainAires quartets and chorus will regale donors with barbershop harmony at the Denver West Bonfils Community Donor Center 13952 Denver West Pkwy. Building 53, Suite 335 Golden, CO 80401

Performances at the top of each hour. UltraSoniX quartet 8:00, 9:00 & 10:00 AM, Joyful Noise quartet 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM, Denver MountainAires chorus 1:00 and 2:00 PM, Grace Notes quartet 3:00 PM and Harmony Emporium quartet 4:00 PM.

Donors interested in being part of this campaign are encouraged to schedule an appointment by visiting www.bonfils.org or by calling 303.363.2300 and designating your blood donation for "Singing For Life" (#6681).
