Keyboards For Kids at the Golden holiday parade
Contributed by: Jamie Roehrig on 1/14/2008

The City of Golden Christmas Parade was a well attended event for by both watchers and marchers! Keyboards For Kids, an after-school music enrichment program was so grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of this joyous holiday event.

Keyboards For Kids teachers and students marched down Washington, the main street in historic Golden, playing the seasonal music that was taught in their classes November and December after-school classes, and handing out candy. Kids from ages 3 to 12 have recently learned during KFK lessons songs such as Jingle Bells, Old Saint Nick, and other holiday favorites.

Many Keyboards For Kids students braved the elements and came out on several Saturday afternoons to enjoy the holiday festivities and celebrate the wonderful community of music that they have grown to be a part of! Music brings people together, and it was so great to see all of these young musicians together at this most beautiful time of year.
