A blustery day for Golden High grads
Contributed by: Erin Feese/YourHub.com on 5/11/2008

The morning dawned bright and sunny for Golden High School's graduation ceremony May 10 at Brooks Field at the Colorado School of Mines. However, shortly after the start of the ceremony, the wind whipped through the crowd, scattering motor boards, blowing over the flowers on the stage and even knocking down speakers.

"The is the windiest graduation ever," said Golden High teacher Mike Mendoza during his faculty address with fellow teacher Mandy Longsine.

But the show went on, and the students were awarded their diplomas amid cheers from family and friends.
