Golden Police blotter: Couple warned park closed

COUPLE WARNED TOO LATE TO WALK DOG IN PARK
On June 3 at 1:18 a.m., a 27-year-old man from Idaho Springs and his 26 year-old female companion were walking through Ulysses Park, 1205 Ulysses St., Golden. The pair was walking a dog in the parking lot. An officer stopped them and advised them the park was closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily.

FIGHT ERUPTS WITH WRESTLER
Several officers were dispatched to the Buffalo Rose Saloon , 1110 Washington Ave., on a report of a fight in progress. When they arrived, the security guard said the establishment was hosting a wrestling event at the bar. He said a 31-year-old patron assaulted the 28-year-old wrestler by kicking a chair while the wrestler's head was underneath it. A juvenile ran up and jumped on the chair. A group of men were asked to leave for being unruly. The officer contacted the wrestler, who said he had been thrown out of the ring and was lying under a closed metal chair when the 31-year-old kicked the chair. The 17-year-old was placed under arrest. When the officer ran a check on the men, one of them had a warrant out of Lakewood and was taken into custody.The man who kicked the chair was given a summons for third-degree assault.

WOODY'S PIZZA EMPLOYEE ARRESTED
On May 28 an officer went to Woody's Pizza, 1305 Washington Ave., to locate a 21-year-old man who was wanted on a warrant out of Arvada. The manager told the officer he worked in the kitchen. The man was taken into custody.

DRIVE SMART OFFICES ENTERED
The 35-year-old executive director of Drive Smart at 3560 Evergreen Parkway, Ste. 101, said the office was broken into between midnight June 2 and 10:30 a.m. June 3. She was positive she had locked her office door and didn't know how anyone could get in without a key. She said someone had rummaged through drawers and may have turned the computer off. The woman said she did not keep personal information on the computer, but does have the organization's financial information stored on it. The deputy noticed all the doors in the building were slightly open.
