Golden Police Department
STORE CUSTOMER FINDS SINGING OFFENSIVE
An officer was dispatched to King Soopers, 17171 S. Golden Road because they were informed a suspicious man was arguing with a customer at 12:08 p.m. June 13. When the officer arrived he was flagged down by an employee who pointed out the man who was acting strangely. The 20-year-old man said all he was doing was singing a song that contained a mention to marijuana in the lyrics. He said he was singin when another man got angry at him because he thought it was inappropriate for children and accused him of singing too loud. The crooner said he smoked marijuana earlier in the day. The other man said he just wanted the singer to stop singing out loud in front of kids and women. The singer was asked to leave.
MEN ISSUED WARNING
At 7:22 p.m. June 16 two officers were dispatched to investigate a suspicious incident on the 17600 block of West 16th Avenue. The caller said a group of people were standing next to the apartment building at the Fox Hill Apartment Complex talking on walkie talkies. The deputies spoke to a 28-year-old man and a 29-year-old man. They said they were from Arvada and were waiting for a friend to pick them up to go to a party, but they didn't know the friend's last name or where he lived. The two men were issued verbal warnings for trespassing and told if caught on the property again, they would be arrested for trespassing. They were released and walked westbound on W.. 16th Avenue toward South Golden Road.
NOISE COMPLAINT RESULTS IN SUMMONS
On June 15 officers went to the 17000 block of West Second Avenue because a man said he would sign a noise complaint against one of his neighbors. The man said "I'm surprised no one else complains. I'm tired of this. We just got our 1-month old backt to sleep." The officer knocked on the door of the residence where loud music was coming from. No one answered until he shone his flashlight through one of the windows. The resident asked what was going on and the officer told him he was going to get a ticket for disturbing the peace. He was issued a summons.
