Golden Police blotter: Deceased man on porch

DECEASED MAN FOUND ON PORCH
On June 3 at 12:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Ponderosa Circle. A 65 year-old man was found lying on the stairs of his porch. It was determined the man was deceased. He was initially spotted by a 35-year-old woman who was driving around the area looking for a trailer to buy. She said she had medical training and could tell "something wasn't right." She called 911 and went to a neighbor's house for assistance. When officers arrived they observed a lawn mower in the yard. Everything inside the house appeared normal. An 85-year-old neighbor said he saw the man getting his mail the day before at 5 p.m. There were no signs of trauma or struggle or any criminal activity. An official coroner's report will be made. No further action was taken by the police.

ALLEGED BURGLAR LOST
On June 1 at 9:13 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1150 block of Golden Circle on a possible burglary attempt. The alleged burglar was described as a man carrying a backpack who wore white shorts and a white shirt. Officers spoke to a r28 year-old resident of the apartment complex who had a video surveillance of the front of his apartment due to a neighbor dispute. The video showed a man walking slowly down the hallway and up to a doorway where he looked into the door's peephole. He tried to open the door, then looked around. He turned and looked at a piece of paper and walked away. It appeared the man was lost. His intentions were unknown.
