MAN DENIES ALTERCATION
On June 28 at 4:13 p.m., an officer went to the Splash, 3153 Illinois St. The reporting party requested anonymity but said she was afraid of a man who was being verbally abusive toward the people with him and was saying he would beat people up. She said she took a photo of the man. When the officer arrived, people told him the man left the area in a silver Honda Odyssey, which he located at Sixth Avenue and Jefferson County Parkway. When the officer asked the occupants of the car if anyone had been in an altercation, the man in the back seat said, "I didn't do anything, I didn't get into an altercation." The 21-year old man was asked to step out of the car. He told the officer the woman at the pool took a cell phone picture of him and said, "Now, you are going to jail." Because the woman did not want to pursue charges, the man was released on a warning.
