Golden Police blotter: Criminal trespass to truck


Criminal trespass to vehicle
On Aug. 9 at 5:38 p.m., an officer went to Heritage Square, 18301 W. Colfax Ave. in Golden on a criminal trespass to vehicle call. A woman said she parked her Ford F150 truck in the lot at 1:30 p.m. When she returned at 5:30 and discovered her wallet that contained several credit cards, her social security card and $20 in cash were missing. She said her cell phone, worth an estimated $300 was gone. When she was in the process of canceling her cards, Discover said there had been a gas purchase on the card at 5:04 p.m. The locking mechanism on the truck appeared to have been punched.

Cash, cards stolen from rec locker
On Aug. 10 an officer was dispatched to the Golden Community Center, 1470 10th St., Golden on a burglary report from one of the lockers. The victim said he arrived at the center at 12:10 p.m. to work out. He put all his street clothes in a locker and locked it. He recalled returning to the locker at 12:30 p.m. and was sure he locked it When he returned at 1:30 p.m. the locker was open and the lock was missing. His money clip, Colorado driver's license, VISA card and $90 in cash were missing.

Tree branch damaged
On Aug. 9 at 1:53 a.m., a officer observed a 46-year-old man break off a large branch of a tree in the 1200 block of Washington Avenue in Golden. He was visibly intoxicated. The man said he ripped the branch off because it was hanging down. The officer advised him he saw the branch and there was no previous damage. The officer advised the man he would contact the city parks of city forest to see if they wanted to pursue charges for destruction of property. The city forester had not yet responded to an e-mail.
