JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO - "Celebrating Seniors on the Move" is the theme for the 18th annual Good News Celebration Breakfast, set for 6:59 to 8:29 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 15200 West 6th Ave. in Golden.
The 2009 keynote speaker for the public event is
Michelle Rahn
, former Mrs. Senior America 2004.
The breakfast will celebrate and honor seniors and senior organizations that help others. The event will be emceed by
Neal Browne
, former Denver television news reporter and anchor.
Nomination forms will be mailed to community organizations in January and be available at that time for print-out on the Jefferson County Education Association web site: www.jcea-cea.org.
The purpose of the Good News Breakfast is to further develop a sense of community, enhance and reaffirm spiritual values and recognize the good things happening in Jefferson County.
Volunteers representing business, religious, human services, education and government organizations organize the annual event, which traditionally draws over 500 people.
Sponsorships are also available to promote your business or organization, please contact Sharon Morneau at 720-898-5919.
Invitations will be mailed in March 2009 and published in editions of Mile High Newspapers several weeks before April 28. Those wishing to attend may also print out a copy of the invitation available in March on the Jefferson County Education Association web site.
